Title I Program & AIF
Ramona is a Title I school. Title I is a federal education program that supports low-income students throughout the nation. Funds are awarded based on student family income. It was previously calculated using the free or reduced lunch program. Now it is calculated based on the Alternate Income Form.
Title I funds can be used to hire additional teachers, support staff, provide technology, programs, and additional materials for students. These materials supplement what the district already provides.
Ramona's School Site Council regularly meets to set goals for school improvement and how Title I funds will be spent based on those goals. The School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) discusses school goals and budget and is written every year based on feedback from SSC, ELAC, staff, students, and families.
Help increase Student Funding
Help us ensure that Ramona Elementary School receives the maximum amount of federal funds for our schools. The collection of household income is a necessary step to receive thousands of dollars in federal funds for the school that your child attends. All families should complete the Alternative Income Form (AIF), irrespective of their household income. One AIF per student is necessary.
Completing the AIF form also helps to determine eligibility for the free Afterschool Adventures Program and the Summer Adventures program!
