Message to our Ramona Community

English, Chinese, and Spanish translations available below.

Dear Ramona families,

We hope you are all staying healthy and safe. Distance learning is new to all of us and we are proud of how everyone is working together to make the most of the situation as we continue to facilitate a learning environment for our students.

“Distance learning” means instruction in which the student and instructor are in different locations. This may include interacting through the use of computer and communications technology, as well as delivering instruction and check-in time with their teacher. Distance learning may include video or audio instruction in which the primary mode of communication between the student and instructor is on-line interaction, instructional television, video, telecourses, or other instruction that relies on computer or communications technology. It may also include the use of print materials incorporating assignments that are the subject of written or oral feedback (Source:COVID-19 Guidance for K-12 Schools published on March 17, 2020)

We realize that these are uncertain times and our district is working to provide students with continued education as well as with meals for those who may need it. By now our teachers have attempted to reach out to all students in their class. If you have not been in contact with your child’s teacher, please send them an email and let them know how they can assist in encouraging your child to continue the learning and staying connected with their teacher and classmates. If your child’s teacher uses Seesaw or Google Classroom, you can also message them through those platforms.

Additional resources for students and parents can also be found at the district’s link for Distance Learning.

If your child is in need of a technology device to work on their assignments, please complete the request form by clicking Technology Request Form. If you do not have a device to complete the form, please call our technology department at (626)943-3030.

Food services will be handing out meals at Marguerita, Ynez and Granada on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:00am to 1:00pm for children under 18 years of age.

Finally, please make sure to check the Parent Portal to ensure that your contact information (phone number and email address) is current so that you are receiving all information sent out to families. Please continue to stay safe and take care, we look forward to seeing you again.
